This is why I hate 3rd party supporting idiots
Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly have talked a lot about a 3rd party to go against both the Republican and democrat party. Beck and O’Reilly say both parties are the same and there is no difference in them. O’Reilly, Beck, and much of the Tea Party movement are backing or talking of starting a 3rd party. In the minds of Beck and O’Reilly, this is just a way to boost ratings and get more viewers. These 2 have no knowledge of politics and are not Republicans and never have been.
If any of them had knowledge of politics, they would know the last successful 3rd party was the Republican party. Second splitting the 40% of American’s that identify as conservatives and the other who normally vote Republican, would allow democrats to continue destroying the United States. The Tea Party Movement should be a movement to reform the Republican party and not start some fringe third-party, that will only continue to allow democrats to win.

I’m a proud member of the “Tea Party” and if you can’t see the “sheep’s clothing” both the parties r wearing, am sorry for that. I was a Republican for many years, and I’ve watched just as many stupid mistakes coming from them as from “democrats”. Both the Parties r now corrupt, and the face of God is not found there. You’ve been reading and commenting on postings I’ve left, I don’t pull punches, I’m watching the Country I love, go down in flames and both parties are culpable. I wish it were simple, but it’s not anymore.
We need 52, honest, fearless, untainted men, to step forward and assume leadership. We need our country back, we need the “Silent Majority” to no longer remain silent, but to wake up and roar while we still have a country.

Yes, there have been Republicans, that have not been principled conservatives, but starting a 3rd party will be a disaster.
If the tea party can re-build the republican party and re energize it then I am all for it.
I am however worried over the possibility that splitting the party of conservatives vs republicans will give the current left wing loons more time to create irrepairable damage to the country.
Dan, you have hit the nail on the head. That is exactly the way I feel.
I find this article a to be a plant to try and distroy the Tea Party movement. It is true that an Independent has no chance at the presidency but there are Independent congressmen. So the entry article written by the above malicious politcal plant from on of the two parties is to be ignored.
Grow the Tea Party movement as fast as possible. Never let idiots like the one that wrote the above article detour you.
Hey Dave if I was a plant why would I have links to all the tea party groups in Virginia? Also, I have organized a tea party, so that shows how much you know. My problem is the assorted crack pots that the tea party is drawing is bad and the fact that these third party supporting nuts are going to further split the vote. The tea party movement has the ability to purify the Republican party by voting in both conventions and primaries instead of making an offshoot party of rejects like the reform party has made with the likes of Jesse Ventura (a 9/11 truther and certified kook) and removing RINO’s from the party.

You’re right on the money. Keep up the great work. Hopefully the Beck/O’Reilly 3rd party nonsense will fade like all fads do. These guys have some value but overall, they’re self-agrandizing, ratings whores with no real convictions. They’ve been , for a time, useful idiots but now they’re starting to damage [or at least retard the growth of] the conservative ascendancy that’s spreading across the nation like wildfire.

You are 100 % correct, O’Reilly could care less about his conservative audience and he has shown it more then once on both his unlistened to radio show and on TV, Beck, occasionally says some correct things but more so then not goes over the top and latches onto the likes of Ron Paul, who is far from a conservative and is more interested in promoting his books.
I was just watching Mitch McConnel (R) on meet the press and if this is the best the Republicans can field, then we need to vote them all out regardless of party.
Business as usual selling the same failed ideas at the party of NO is not nor has it ever been acceptable. Both parties fail the American people consistently each blaming the other always serving industry with little accountability for their actions. After all, the other guy is always at fault.
Tax and spend OR borrow and spend and tax later blaming the other guy. Some choice? If I had to choose between them this true conservative would have to choose the DEMS as being morally superior. Thank God I don’t have to. At least the DEMACraps accept the blame for taxing the middle class out of existence. The REPucks have gargantuan sized balls trying to sell themselves as finically conservative. We gave them a REPuck congress and the presidency for eight years. What did they give the American people in return? They went on a spending spree that can only lead to one place higher taxes and blaming the other guy for their actions.
Every incumbent is to blame regardless of party and every incumbent should go in 2010.
The Republican Party has been lost to fascist ideals for a long time. They can call themselves conservative but they always act corporate fascist. The Democratic Party call themselves liberal but they always act like corporate fascist. We the people have no choice but to throw them all out regardless of party affiliation. We the people can no longer afford the best government the corporate money can buy. The Republican Party is lost to the Tory. I’m voting Whig. It is time to turn them over no matter how much money they raise to sell out the American people.
@ True Conservative you sound like either a Ron Paul supporter or an angry liberal, So corporations are bad now, such real conservative thoughts there.
Mr Watson, I’m a god fearing true conservative. God created man in his own image. Man in an act of arrogance created the abomination we call a corporation. Man gave his corporation all the rights of human beings with some devilish features to out compete god’s creations.
Corporations live forever and they were created for the sole purpose of sheltering men from liability for their ungodly acts. I would argue that corporations are a devils tool. They are accumulators of opportunity with veracious appetites. As tools for greed they have no equal. Combine a corporation with the devils most powerful tool propaganda and you have a very dangerous combination in deed.
Look around you at the human wreckage in the debris field we used to call an economy. Do you think this level of damage would have occurred if the perpetrators didn’t have a means to escape liability for their actions? Moral hazard was circumvented in part by the corporate mind set and for the most part the perpetrators have gotten away with it for now.
I find it amusing that you would try to associate Ron Paul with angry liberalism. It shows a high level of intellectual dishonesty and speaks volumes for your character.
