The Myth: The Senate bill will not affect the health insurance you currently have – or as the President and Senate leaders like to say, “if you are happy with your health insurance you can keep it.”
The Fact: Nothing could be further from the truth. The Congressional Budget Office – the non-partisan budget estimator of Congressional legislation – has predicted that millions of people would lose employer-sponsored health care coverage under the Senate Democratic health care reform plan.
Don’t be fooled: This legislation is bad policy. Tell Congress it’s time to START OVER.
