Rick Boucher doesn’t want Obama to help campaign for him
Well I guess after Boucher voted for cap-and-trade, the stimulus bill or voting not to outlaw partial birth abortion and many other big government programs since he was elected to the 9th District, that would be more than enough to kick him out of Congress. So he has decided not to bring in the campaigner in chief for help according to Politico,
“I have never asked anyone to come to the 9th District to campaign for me, and I don’t intend to create a new tradition this year,” said veteran Rep. Rick Boucher of Virginia, who is facing the most serious challenge since his first reelection in 1984.
Boucher, who said he believed the president was “doing a terrific job given the problems he faced coming into office,” noted that the last time he had an out-of-state elected Democrat come campaign for him was when then-Majority Leader Jim Wright (D-Texas) came to Bristol to help him raise money in that first reelection campaign.
Well Rick if he is doing such a great job, why do you not want him to help campaign for you, ummm maybe because he is doing a horrible job, the stimulus bill failed, cap-and-trade would have caused the loss of thousands of jobs in your district, and Obama campaigning for you would be your final nail in the coffin.
