Matthew Berry picks up more endorsements

Matthew’s performance demonstrated why Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, said earlier this week that Matthew is “an accomplished leader who will fight to create jobs and rein in government spending” and that he is “confident Republicans will wage a strong fight to pick up [the] seat held by Jim Moran, a career politician who has repeatedly put his partisan agenda before a healthy economy.”

In other campaign news, the Matthew Berry for Congress campaign today announced five new endorsements from Northern Virginia Republican leaders. These GOP leaders agree that Matthew Berry is the strongest candidate to go up against Jim Moran this fall.

* Phil Cefaratti – 2009 GOP Alexandria City Council Candidate

* Maria Ciarrocchi – Former Chair, Alexandria Young Republicans

* Jay Hughes – Former Chair, Young Republican Federation of Virginia

* Bernie Schulz – Former Chair, Alexandria Young Republicans & Co-Chair, Lisa Marie Cheney for Congress campaign

* Gerrie Smith – Dranesville District GOP Chairman

This week, Matthew Berry also picked up the endorsement of the RedNoVA blog:

“Every year, Republicans line up and try and convince voters that they’re the ones to take on Jim Moran. Nobody gives them money or their time, and they lose the election by 70%. One candidate this year has proven that he’ll be different . . . The person I’m talking about of course is Matthew Berry.”
